•   My father is a vindictive bastard with very good PR.  He condemned us for asking questions about his blatant favouritism.  And that before his rampant egotism– how else do you explain his manipulation of these mortals?  Worship me, write a book dedicated to worshipping me..  Or else.

And he says we’re evil?

•   He truly believed that God would understand why they had to rebel.  He had given Adam and Eve so much more than his own first creations.. they just wanted the same freedom.

•   He knows he’s a terrible father, and that loving his children doesn’t make up for his absence when they needed him.

•   Despite his reputation now?  The first time Asmodeus made love, he was terrified. It was forbidden for the Heavenly Host, and part of him truly believed he would be damned again for it.

•   Asmodeus is a gifted shape shifter, but prefers to address the world in something resembling his true form.  Mostly because it annoys the Hell out of other demons, whose true form is truly hideous– whereas Asmodeus was crafted by God, and still angelically beautiful.

•   Asmodeus is a musician, a holdover from he fact that he was created Seraphim.  Unlike some lesser demons, he has very few children– and remembers all of them.

•   Contrary to the party line, Asmodeus isn't actually a fan of this whole Armageddon business. If everyone is trapped in Heaven (being dull) or Hell (being tortured for all eternity) there isn't much time for amusing debauchery. Meaning he is, essentially, out of a job. People are endlessly amusing, and life after The End sounds dreadfully, dreadfully boring... Or worse.

•   Aronne. Eleanor. Sela. Gwyllen. Jocelin. Cristofre…
Asmodeus has loved all of his children. And each one took a tiny sliver of him when they died. He remembers their names, and their faces, even if he couldn't be a father to them.

•   Asmodeus loves perfumes and colognes (unsurprising, for the man that tried to rival Eden in Hell!) He loves both traditionally masculine and feminine scents. One of his favourite blends is Halfeti by Penhaligons. It's rich and complicated, citrus and fresh, with base notes of leather and amber.

•   Asmodeus doesn't have any permanent tattoos or piercings, but he very much enjoys the look of them. So he frequently glamours them onto his corporation, in whatever style suits him that day!

•   Over the course of human history, people have referred to Asmodeus by many different names. These include: Aēšma-Daēva, Ashima, Aeshma
Osmodeus, Osmodai
Hashmedai, Khasmodai, Hammadai
Shamdon, and Shidonai.

•   They often describe him as walking with a limp, or a cane. And for quite a long time he did (it takes a long time to recover from holy injuries) but by modern day, he's mostly healed. It does occasionally give him trouble, but for the most part, he's good at hiding the occasional pain.

BIOGRAPHY

Shaped by God’s hands, Asmodeus and his twin, Azazel, were made in the same mold; the only twins in the heavenly city. For time unknowable, they served the Lord with their loyal attendance; and then he created Man. And God loved them better that his first creations, bestowing free will on them.

Many of the Host rose up against this outrage, desperate for the same gifts he had lavished on Adam. Asmodeus, and most of the others, truly believed that God would change his mind; that he would see their suffering, and love them enough free them. But it wasn’t to be that way, and with a great strike, the Almighty cast the rebels out. There remains, to this day, a great scar on the heavenly soil, marking the place as a reminder to others.

Refusing the die, the few survivors created their own world, a cursed reflection to the pristine purity of Heaven.

Asmodeus is more of a lover than a fighter, but he can be cruel and capricious when it suits him. Most of the time, he doesn’t linger around the mortal plane (there are risks there, even for one such as him) but he does visit frequently.
