Scott's default verse is wizarding world/Harry Potter,
but he can easily be written without it!

Main Verse:

Born in Ireland, Scott is the younger of the O'Reilly twins, and his parent's last child. They had their heir, and the spare, in the same pregnancy, and neither parent saw any reason to bother with another.

​

The O'Reilly family is old money, and an old Pureblood line, with all of the pressures and expectations that come with that.  So when Scott began to act out at a young age, that was simply not tolerated.

​

Despite their different personalities, the twins are deeply attached to one another, and spent most of their childhood attached at the hip.

​

When he was eighteen, his antics chose to have him sectioned in to a Muggle mental hospital, in an attempt to contain their embarrassment.  After eight months in care, he was released at his parent's insistence. 

​

After all, there was a war on.

​

Voldemort returned during Scott's last year at school, and after graduation, he joined the Order.  Scott was lucky, he survived.  

​

But shortly after the war, he walked in on his brother, in bed with the woman he'd recently started seeing.  That, combined with the horrors he'd seen, triggered a massive bipolar incident.

​

He left everything he owned, and moved to London with only a single bag.  The next year is something of a blur.  There was liquor, and drugs, and the fervent wish for it all to just stop.  He was finished, and too tired to keep going.

​

But he survived that, too.  And with help from some friends, and the offer of a job from the new Headmaster of Hogwarts, Scott has pulled himself together.

​

Alternate:

After a decade of teaching, Scott got married and chose to leave Hogwarts.  They opened a cafe, and lived in a quiet part of England, and for a while?  Everything was wonderful.  

​

Unfortunately, when Scott was 38, his husband passed away after a short, intense illness.  

​

Now in his late 30s, Scott is trying to figure out how you move on, and start life all over again.
