• Simon always uses too many bubbles when he’s washing the dishes. Always. There’s just something so much fun about watching them almost overflow to the edges, and the way the rainbows slide around inside when they stick to his skin.
• If he’s sleeping alone, or with one person, he always chooses the side closest to the wall. If he’s with two+ people, he sleeps in the middle. It just feels safer to him.
• Simon loves Lego, and is usually mid-way through one of those giant boxed sets. When he’s finished, he’ll leave it up for a while.. and then put it away, so he can make it again someday.
• Simon can, has, and will happily, sit in a hot bath until he turns into a prune (especially when he’s feeling down).
• Thinks that blood packs are kind of revolting, he swears you can taste the plastic.
• Big cleaning days will be accompanied by loud music, and terrible dancing. This is just a fact.
• Simon thrives on praise and reassurance, and genuinely likes helping (if you ask nicely!)
• Spiders shall be given no clemency.
• Contrary to popular belief, Simon doesn’t watch a lot of tv. But when he does, he binges whole seasons. He also has a soft spot for documentaries (especially ones about ancient civilizations, dinosaurs or sharks!)
• Simon is very snuggly, and prone to distraction… Sometimes this means things don’t always get done as quickly as they should.
BIOGRAPHY
In life, Simon Lewis was the geek. The loyal and nerdy #1. He was precisely the kind of guy that falls hopelessly for his best friend (which he did), never quite manages to get her attention (which he did) and eventually marries someone else, and has a happily ever after (for a while, at least) with 2.5 kids and a dog.
Well, he’s more of a cat person. But 1 in 4 isn’t bad!
What actually happened was a little more strange. Shortly after being thrown headfirst into the world of vampires and demons that he didn’t know existed, Simon was bitten by a vampire, and changed.
Now, at 18, he’s trying to fumble through this whole blood drinking immortality business.. without getting himself into too much trouble. But it seems that trouble and the Downworld just go hand in hand.
