The only one of the Gundam pilots to be born on Earth, Trowa has no memory of his life before the age of seven.  His earliest recollection is being an anchorless child moving from one colony to another, ekeing out whatever survival he could.  From a young age, people realized that the quiet boy had a knack for piloting the deadly mobile suits, his calm nature proving a good fit in battle.

There were a few mercenary groups that paid well for such skill, and by the time he was ten, Trowa’s was on his way to being established as a mobile suit pilot.

Without a name or a family, eventually the foundling boy found work with the Barton foundation.  It was here, working as a mechanic on the Heavyarms gundam, that everything changed for him.  Following the death of the suit’s original pilot, Trowa volunteered to inherit both his name, and his assignment.  And so, No-name became Trowa Barton; one of five young men chosen to be a part of Operation Meteor.

A quiet and usually soft spoken man, Trowa has made his peace with the knowledge that he will likely die in defense of the colonies.  This is a price he is willing to pay, to buy the safety of others.  In particular, Catherine Bloom, who is like a sister to him.

Trowa is a gifted flutist, which he has been playing since before his amnesia.  He is also a skilled animal handler, given his calm demeanor that even the large beasts find soothing.
